Inspired by...

And speaking of Rachel Zoe, one of her former clients, Nicole Richie, is one of the people that inspire me a lot, stylewise.
She always manages to look effortlessly stylish and cool and has the talent(?) to mix accesories without looking like a christmas tree or something!

(I really like that white dress - black leather Jacket mix!)

Reading...

Style A to Zoe, The Art of Fashion, Beauty and Everything Glamour, written by Rachel Zoe with Rose Apodaca...

If you like Rachel Zoe you should really read this book (if you haven't already)!
In my opinion her style and work have had a great impact to most of the young women (including me) plus I really admire the fact that she seems to enjoy what she does. Anyway, the book is not difficult to read or anything. Just a glimpse into Zoe's world.
Oh, and I love the illustrations!

The Dsquared² Effect...

Dsquared is one of those brands that inspire me every season although they do not reflect my attitude 100%…

I just wish the fur is faux....

50’s FASHION – Vintage Fashion and Beauty Ads, edited by Jim Heinmann (Taschen)
This book combines the things I love the most: Fashion and Advertising. I found it yesterday in a bookstore and bought it immediately!
After looking at the ads I realized that although advertising is not so immediate nowadays (buy this because…) and it is more about the brand and not the product itself, there are many similarities, like promising that the product will make the buyer smarter, sexier, more beautiful and confident...
Something tells me this book is going to make me think a lot... Loves it!

Black & White

(Please don't laugh....) I realized that although I love wearing black on the bottom and white on top, a hate doing the opposite… Is that normal? Anyway... That's me in Black & White..

Frida Giannini for Gucci, Fall 2008 RTW

I have to admit that when Tom Ford retired from Gucci I thought I would never like a Gucci collection as I used to. But Frida Giannini’s Fall 2008 Ready to Wear collection proved me wrong!
She managed to create the perfect – in my opinion - sexy but not cheap looks that make women look powerful without being dressed like men (although I really like menswear) and introduced a new hippie but totally chic and put together style.
I also loved the layering, the accessories and the boots with the fringe details..
All in all I think that Giannini managed to create a collection of items that could be worn in many different ways (good move) which I find great! What’s better anyway from a really nice and wearable collection?

Inspired by...

I am totally inspired by Agyness Deyn, I confess! (I know some of you might think she is too edgy, but that girl has definitely got something!).

I mean it’s not only about the clothes or the fact that she looks amazing no matter what she wears (she is a model after all), but about the fact that she has her PERSONAL style and is not afraid to differ.

Isn't it refreshing?

Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Fall 2008 RTW.

There is only one word that could describe Riccardo Tisci’s creations for Givenchy: Stunning! I love the romantic - goth - feminine looks and the combination of a “hard” part (leather pants - heavy jewllery ) with a more fragile - feminine one that keeps the balance.

1st post!

This blog is personal but fashion – centered so I decided I should start with a post about my favorite fashion items…

  • Jeans: I wear jeans almost every day…. From skinny to wide leg, jeans are the best canvas in order to play with clothes and accesories.

  • Scarves: Scarves are what I call the “magic accessories”…. By adding a scarf to the outfit you can avoid boring with no fear of over accessorizing.

  • Sunglasses: I never go out in the morning without my sunglasses… The right pair protects my eyes and completes the outfit, plus I have my really annoying black circles under the eyes covered!

  • All star snickers: Simply because they are comfy and cool!!

  • Havaianas: summer in Greece is hot so there is nothing better than wearing my favorite pink havaianas!
