Ioannis Guia, the greek designer who lives and works in Paris surprised us a couple of months ago with his Sin-meets-Priest-attires show at Athens Exclusive Designers Week. The models, who wore the blondest wigs and rocked juicy red lips, walked the runway in Clothes inspired by the Greek Orthodox church. You see, Guia studied History and the Vyzantium is one of the subjects he is very familiar with.
Today, Mr Guia proved that not only he's great when it comes to presenting a wonderful show but also the clothes are 100% wearable. We met him in a Suite at Athens Intercontinental and had the chance to see the clothes up close and (oh yes) try them on!
Mr Guia welcomed us with a big smile, (he's such a gentleman!) and took time to explain us the way he works. It's very important for him that his collections have a basic theme and that they "communicate" with each other. He uses a certain colour pallete in every collection and always makes sure that the clothes are wearable.

Penelopy and me trying the clothes on)
The clothes are so delicate I was even afraid to touch them at first! The striking handcrafted details, the interesting mix of fabrics and the extraodinary shapes made my heart beat fast! The pictures speak for themselves.
Well, I'd say I loved every minute of my afternoon!
Special thanks to Mr Guia!
