Now that Fashion blogging has become popular people often ask me how I feel after almost 2 years of experience in the blogosphere. As I've said before, when I started LFoF having a blog was not trendy. Actually, the majority of people I talked with hardly knew what a blog is. Most of my friends made fun of me and only a few were supportive. The reason why I started blogging was that I wanted to create my online journal of inspiration and personal style, to share my ideas, to get feedback and to have "my" place. Here, I can talk about the people that I get inspired from and share the things I love the most about fashion. I can write 3 times a day or I can take a break. It's my own piece of paradise.
Fashion blogs are objective in a subjective way and that exactly is the point. That is also why bloggers link to each other and should not be competitive in a bad way. By reading different blogs, the reader gets information from many points of view and that is priceless. That's why I believe (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) that each blogger has to have his or her own style of writing. Copying other people's concepts does not lead anywhere. Every blog MUST have the blogger's personal touch. Personality matters. That's the point.
Talking of inspiration and personality, here you can see and hear Karl Lagerfeld discussing general education among other subjects. Mr Lagerfeld has been my number one inspiration since I was a kid. Not only as a designer but as a person who is never tired to to learn new things. He constanrly evolves and he never stops working. That is what I call an idol.
* This post was updated today because blogger decided to publish my draft. That's probably why the post didn't make sense *
