Surprise! Toi-Moi Contest!

Photobucket
I know you love giveaways. Toi-Moi knows it too!

If you want to be one of the two LFoF readers that are going to win the dress that you see me holding, leave your comment on this post or e-mail me at lifefulloffashion@gmail.com until Sunday July 4th.
(In any case I need an e-mail adress so that I can let you know if you win! )

If you haven't already, you can also take a look at the video I did for Toi-Moi a few weeks ago. Around 2:06 you'll see the abovementioned dress. I'm sure that you will love it! Needless to say that it is one of my favorites!

Also! Don't forget to visit toi-moi.com. It's one of the most interesting sites out there plus you can check the spring - summer lookbooks!

GOOD LUCK!

Say it on a t-shirt!

I just love it when I open my mail and find invitations like the following one. Designer Stelios Koudounaris was kind enough to inform me about an amazing event that will take place this Saturday at Keramikos. "Say it on a T-shirt", that is.

This Saturday, everything we have to say, we'll say it on a t-shirt. Let's create our very special wash line that will later travel to another European city. Let's communicate in a very interesting way. Let's have FUN!
Congratulation to the Project Leader, Varnavas Filippou and the rest of the team!

Blue Jumper

I wanted to take a picture in front of that door since the Tachydromos photoshoot. I finally did it yesterday and I coudn't wait to share it with you!
There's something I really like about old doors. There's something I really like about jumpers as well. Definately one of the most easy-to-wear pieces.

3 Bloggers at six d.o.g.s = fun

Here's a picture from awhile ago.  Mika, Lopi and me having fun on a Saturday night.

I can't believe that I haven't posted anything yet about the necklace that I'm wearing. I bought it a couple of months ago, at a special H&M event and I adore it. It was the love-at-first-sight kind of thing. It looks good with almost everything and it's bold enough to make a statement. Definately a good buy!

Today

Shopping for a cause is always a good thing, we 've said it before!

DElightful!

With the weather being so dull and cloudy I can't help but think of my favorite DElight winter outfits.
As you know I was backstage at their show and I had not seen what happened on the runway. Now, I can spend hours looking at the pictures. Oh well, I really hope that in a few months you'll see me wearing the skirt that the model is wearing on the second picture. It's such a good thing that their clothes are affordable.

Anyway, there was nothing I didn't like from the collection so you'll be seeing lots of it. LFoF is a huge DElight fan after all!

The white dress goes at a book Presentation!

Yesterday, Loukas Mexis presented his "Shoebox", his first book that is, at Metropolis Live Stage and we were all there to support the writer. Why not, after all. He's young, multi-talented and the book sounds like a very interesting read for the summer.
Nikos Mouratidis, Giannis Zouganelis and Giannis Stankoglou did the talking and we all had a very good time.

This post though, would be totally not fashion-related though if A. it wasn't the chance for me to wear my white one-shoulder dress and B. if the crowd was not as stylish as it was!

Mika, InStyle's Maria Papagrigoriou and Getitnow's Shopping Queen

Just-got-back-from-the-beach Klairi and MTV's super kids Nafsika and Alex. No need to comment on that. They're always the coolest around! Special thanks to Aris who snapped the picture for us!

Congratulations to the writer!

LFoF @Toi-Moi

Α few weeks ago Toi-Moi invited me to one of their stores to take a look at their spring-summer collection and talk about the clothes. So, here I am presenting to you my favorite pieces.
This video is about choices for those of us who will be staying in the city this summer. You see I'm one of the unlucky ones since I'll be working on my final University project and I really need to find comfortable clothes that I can wear all day long no matter what I do.

Thank you Toi-Moi!

Summer Shopping Party!

The guys over at Six d.o.g.s always come up with the best ideas!

Mariaflora P.

Mariaflora P. is one of the most stylish people out there. She's beautiful and she looks awesome in clogs. As if that wasn't enough she designs amazing jewelry. The first time I saw the pictures on her blog I fell in love with her creations. She takes plexiglass, Swarowski and vintage chandelier crystals (!), sterling silver chains and stainless steel tassels and turns them into unique pieces of jewelry.
Delicate, girly with a twist, up to date and  classy. Loves it!

Lacy Back

A little bit of lace never hurt noone! Here's one of the things that I got from Orsalia the other day. It's a cropped top/bra, quite like the ones that Alexander Wang presented on the runway but it's girlier. It's the lacy back that makes the difference.
I desperately needed one of those since most of my tank tops are a little oversized and I can't stand having to adjust them all the time. The detail on the back is just perfect. I wore it today with a preety large t-shirt to see how it works with my outfits. And here comes the verdict. Llllove it!

Interesting!

Now that's interesting! Companies who are serious about social responsibility get my vote immediately.

I think I should find some time to go downtown and find more about it!

LFoF @ Veto

Being featured at Vetomag's "Newcomers" was a pleasant surprise for me! Christina Farazi, the journalist and I discussed fashion blogging and greek designers among other subjects. The photoshoot took place at Sotiris' Georgiou studio and as you see I got to wear one of his dresses (yes, I am a very lucky girl!). Of course I could not leave my number one favorite dress from Sotiris' "In the City" collection out of the picture and so I decided to have it with me.
The photographer, Kostas Koutsaftikis was a great person to work with and I really felt like working with someone I've known for years!

Thank you Veto!

Special thanks to Christina Farazi, Kostas Koutsaftikis, Sotiris Georgiou and Anita who scanned the article for me!

Orsalia

Don't you love it when you explore new stores and they live up to your expectations? I certainly do! Orsalia opened in Glyfada a few months ago, I loved it from the first moment but I had not found the time to pay a visit. Today though was THE day for a little retail therapy, considering that my beloved Mr BlackBerry crashed.
Turns out Orsalia is the place to go if you're looking for well made Greek clothes, beautiful maxi dresses (that you ask me about) and the latest trends in general.

Photobucket

The story behind the store caught my attention and I think it's worth sharing. The first Orsalia store opened in 1976 by two students who could not find nice, fashionable clothes for people their age in good prices. The founders as you probably guessed were in love and the store got the girl's name (how cute)! The couple got married, had children but the store still remains true to the same principles. Impressive, may I say!

As for my shopping experience, I really enjoyed the service and I was more than happy to meet a schoolmate from the past! Anyway! If you 're in a shopping mood keep in mind that these days you can take advantage of the store's special offers.

Lace ears

There are many reasons why someone should NOT wear lace ears.
But there's only one why I can't resist. They're FUN!

On blogging

Now that Fashion blogging has become popular people often ask me how I feel after almost 2 years of experience in the blogosphere. As I've said before, when I started LFoF having a blog was not trendy. Actually, the majority of people I talked with hardly knew what a blog is. Most of my friends made fun of me and only a few were supportive. The reason why I started blogging was that I wanted to create my online journal of inspiration and personal style, to share my ideas, to get feedback and to have "my" place. Here, I can talk about the people that I get inspired from and share the things I love the most about fashion. I can write 3 times a day or I can take a break. It's my own piece of paradise.

Fashion blogs are objective in a subjective way and that exactly is the point. That is also why bloggers link to each other and should not be competitive in a bad way. By reading different blogs, the reader gets information from many points of view and that is priceless. That's why I believe (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) that each blogger has to have his or her own style of writing. Copying other people's concepts does not lead anywhere. Every blog MUST have the blogger's personal touch. Personality matters. That's the point.

Talking of inspiration and personality, here you can see and hear Karl Lagerfeld discussing   general education among other subjects. Mr Lagerfeld has been my number one inspiration since I was a kid. Not only as a designer but as a person who is never tired to to learn new things. He constanrly evolves and he never stops working. That is what I call an idol.

* This post was updated today because blogger decided to publish my draft. That's probably why the post didn't make sense *

H&M Fall Preview

Some days ago I visited the H&M headquarters for a preview of their Winter Collection. The problem about visiting H&M's headquarters is that you end up wanting to buy every single thing even if you have to wait for months until you're able to wear them.
Oh well... You can't imagine how many times I thought of how happy I'd be if the showroom was my walk-in closet. Dreams, dreams, dreams!
Anyway the collection is fantastic and the accessories (you know I'm a huge fan - who isn't after all?) are out of this world!

Vans and Stussy Girls collaborate

Well, collaborations are getting more and more interesting. Vans teamed up with Stussy Girls to create a limited edition collection of shoes and damn they're good!

Designer in action

*Just a quick post before I go back to studying literature for tomorrow's exam.*

I met beloved Sotiris Georgiou yesterday. You see, he was kind enough to lend us his studio for a little photoshoot and I could not resist. I HAD to take a picture of him while cuting this delicate, beautiful lilac fabric! Sotiris also told me that he started working on his new collection. I must admit I can't wait to see what he's going to come up with!
More about Sotiris here, here and here!

Have a nice day!

Today...

With the temperature being higher than Lady Gaga's heels, cut-offs and sandals seemed like the only bearable option.
Actually, it's the first time that I match my top to my shoes because I'm not a fan of the matchy-matchy kind of thing. Suprisingly, it seemed ok this time.

Stathis Samantas knows what a girl wants!

I'm sure you remember Stathis Samantas. You know, my favourite shoe-designer.
Well, I would really like to know: Would you be able to stay focused on your Change Management project after seeing this picture? I bet you wouldn't!

I couldn't either as you 've already noticed. I HAD to share it with you!
Bold colours? Yes! High-high heels? Yes! Eye-cathing details? Yes!

The designs are absolutely fantastic! I'm impressed!

LFoF meets Rihanna

Today was a day to remember! And here's why!

Rihanna gave a concert here in Athens and I was one of Nokia's 5 VIP guests who also got to "meet and greet" the singer. I don't really know where to start.
Well she's like a doll, flawless. Her voice is simply amazing and her performance was impressive. And, believe me I'm not easily surprised by celebrities.

Rihanna was wearing a beautiful knitted grey body and she changed her shoes several times. She opened the show with a pair of light pink knee-high boots, she then put a pair of black flats to change them later into a  black high-high heeled pair. I was a little disapointed though because she only wore one outfit. I think that she (or her stylist anyway) is very creative when it comes to her clothes so I would really like to see more.

One of the reasons that I had so much fun is that I had the best company. George Satsidis, Mirto Kazi  and Irene Stavro are the best concert buddies!

With George, Mirto and Nokia's Olympia Mantzourou

Oh well! Thank you NOKIA!

SATC outfit - Vana's Wall edition!

Here's my Fashion and the City outfit, in front of my friend Vana's wall.

In case you were wondering why I'm smiling like a 5 year old who was just given ice-cream, it's because of the skirt. By far my favorite. It makes me feel like a princess, I swear!
Anyway... I've got to go back to studying!

Don't forget! E-mail me at lifefulloffashion@gmail.com to enter the SATC giveaway!
