Repetto

Things I like about this very stylish shoe: The shape, the cute buckle, the chunky heel, the nice little platform on the front, the color! Repetto is known for their legendary ballet flats but turns out they also make great high-heels!

Chanel Couture, Oh my!

Ok, I know you've probably seen those pictures everywhere but I just can't help it. I've said it before, Karl Lagerfeld sure knows how to make a girl's heart beat fast. I so loved his couture collection (ok, I love all of his collections). This one though, is so fairytail-y, so princess-like! It actually looks like it just popped out of my dreams. Yeap, that's what my dreams look like!

Giraffes!

Seriously now, how cute is that bangle? When I first saw it I thought it was just another animal-bangle (like the ones Rachel Zoe wears all the time) but a closer look proved me wrong. I've seen lots of similar pieces of jewelry with snakes or dragons but the giraffes are just beyond cool in my opinion! Love it!

Laternative, Tonight

As every Tuesday, tonight around 23:10 I'll be talking fashion with the boys over at Laternative. We got quite some requests to talk about Online Shopping for clothes and accessories so Online Shopping it is for today's show.

*You can listen to last week's show here. I'm on around the 53d min. in case you don't want to listen to the whole thing. If you have time though listen to it all, the guys rock!*

Lacoste - Unconvential Chic Campaign

Here's a pic from the latest Lacoste campaign. I guess most of us are quite familiar with the brand and its campaigns so the difference here is preety obvious, isn't it? I'm one of the people who really like the brand's clean-cut, sporty and fresh ads but I was very surprised (in a good way of course) with the new, different approach. I love the way the classic, white L.12.12 is paired with the sparkly, long-sleeved gown and I absolutely adore the simple background.

Any thoughts?

The Trenchcoat

Seems like ages since I did my last proper post but I swear people it's not my fault. My schedule is a complete and total mess the last couple of weeks and I guess it's probably going to be like that until mid February when I'll (hopefully) be done with my thesis, University exams and Masters' applications.
Anyway, here's an outfit from last week which kind of proves my addiction to Asos. The trench was part of an order I placed before Christmas and I love it for 2 reasons. The first is the faded olive green/khaki color and the second one is the girly A-line cut that makes it look like a dress. And you know how much I adore dresses, right?

A couple of days ago I put a link to Buldoza's A/W lookbook remember? Now, I am very happy to reveal this backstage video from the photoshoot.

I'm sure you agree that the outcome is excellent, but then again we wouldn't expect anything less than that from Constantinos Tsiliakos and Buldoza's passionate and talented team. Right?

Nike Sneakers

The fact that I've spent quite some years in and out of ballet classes, has played it's role so that I absolutely cannot stand my life without some form of excercise. I can't really dance anymore which makes me sad but I love to run or at least walk everyday. It goes without saying that a good pair of training shoes is essential. So, imagine how happy I was to receive those cuties from Nike the other day. I couldn't wait to share them with you!

Thank you Nike!

Toi&Moi + Rakas Group Sales

YESHOP in House Private Sale

The image speaks for itself. Yorgos Eleftheriades is throwing a private sale at YESHOP and you 're all well, invited. It will last until the end of January and I think that it's a great opportunity to invest on designer pieces.
*Everytime I refer to a Greek designer, I get e-mails saying that you'd love to visit their showrooms  but you 're shy and afraid that they might be snobbish. Believe me that's certainly not the case. All designers are very friendly and since it's Mr Eleftheriades that we 're talking about I can guarantee you that he and his team are lovely. So, don't be afraid and give it a try!*

Marc by Marc Jacobs Watches

I am not really a watch-person but I could definately see me wearing those a lot, if I had them of course. They 're beyond cute and the lucite bracelet is adorable. Needless to say I've added them both to my wish-list.

Karl Lagerfeld - Volkswagen Commercial

Karl Lagerfeld is one of my favorite designers, you already know that. I simply love everything he does and I secretely wish he was my uncle (ok, I guess it's not a secret any more!). Needless to say I was super-excited when I found out about his Volkswagen commercial. It's funny, well-made and thank God it steps away from the whole super-hot-driver-drives-a-cool-car concept. I wonder, though, how men reacted to this commercial. I guess that most of them don't even know who Karl Lagerfeld is but then again they are probably not part of the target audience in this case.
For those of you who don't speak German, here's the translation:
Hmmm, these new models are very Elegant / I can already see those in Milan, Barcelona and Paris, of course! /
They will be loved in Paris! / What? Only in Germany? / Germany... These models belong to Paris!

10 out of 10 for Volkswagen!

Black and White and Pearls

Black and white is the magic colour combination that I always turn to when I'm in doubt, late or simply too tired to think of something special to wear. Anyway, it's almost a year since I got this black oversized cardi and I can definately say that it's probably the only piece of clothing that I've worn that much. It's cozy, comfortable and looks good with almost everything. Totally love it!

Favorite Things - Headpieces

One of my Fashion Resolutions for 2011 is to start wearing headpieces more often. Headpieces have always been among my favorite accessories but for some reason I always neglect them. My main problem is that I wear glasses most of the time and it's quite uncomfortable so I usually end up choosing other accessories to pair with my outfits. Anyway, I really hope that's going to change this year!
Here are my 3 favorites, bought at H&M in different periods of time and countries. The one on top is the one I wore during Fashion's Night Out in 2009, Remember?  The second one is the latest addition. I've only worn it once to meet my Thesis' supervisor at the University (Yes, I went to the University with a bow on my head) where as the third one is probably the most decent one. I'm actually wearing it in this picture but it cannot really be seen so I guess I owe you a close-up on that one too.

Mulberry ss 2011 - Official Photos

There are countless reasons why I love Mulberry. The brand's SS collection is one of them. I saw the new bags up close at the preview over at Rakas' headquarters a couple of months ago and I can't get them off my mind. The new collection consists of the timeless Mulberry classics (that have been reworked to get a glamorous makeover) and new playful additions. I loved both categories and I have to admit that it was preety hard for me to make this "favorites" list that follows.

So here we go! My first favorite is the powder-beige, travel sized PICCADILLY. Love the color and the cute little flower. It's always the small details like this one that make the difference, don't you think?
The adorable LILY in all materials and colours is next on the list. The hot pink and chestnut ones are classic and timeless where as the new Trippy Tiger patent and oak Bengal Tiger can be playful or wild depending on the outfit. The Oak silky snake print with the shrunken Lily and Jewelled Lily that are more extravagant and quite loud but remain classy. Love them!

Last but not least, the oversized BAYSWATER tote in Chestnut. Mulberry Bags are definately an investment and I can't really think of a bag that would be more useful than this one here.

New shoes, New bag

It was raining cats and dogs yesterday so it was the perfect occasion for me to debut the high-high heel rainbooties I got from ASOS the other day. I paired them with my Zara mini dress, my coat and my new fake fur bag, also from ASOS.
Close-up on the booties coming soon!
