Adidas Originals Party - The people

Here I am, proudly presenting you the "Adidas Originals Party - People Edition" post! I told you the Adidas Spring Collection Launch party was so much fun and here's the proof.
Shoebox author and super kid in general, Loukas Mexis joking around. (Remember his book presentation?) Shot by Lopi I thought that this pic was too funny not to be the first of this post.

(The post is super image heavy so if you 're on the main page click "read more" to see the whole thing.)

Adidas Originals Party

Adidas Originals launched their denim line and that could only mean one thing. Party! Defintely one of the most fun events ever, totally loved every minute of it. Needless to say it was a great opportunity to meet friends that I hadn't seen in a while (post coming up next). As for the clothes, I can only say that I've already created a new "Adidas To Buy" list. You know what that means, right?

The 4-legged Front-Rower

While I'm editing the pictures from yesterday's Adidas Originals Party I'd like to introduce you to the new friend I made in London. So, here he is wearing his scarf and Mulberry bag and waiting patiently for the show to begin. I don't need to say that he sat on the front row, do I?

(Special thanks for letting me take a picture of him!)

Mulberry AW '11

As you probably already know I had the honor to be invited to the Mulberry AW show at London Fashion Week. The show was held at Claridge's and I can say I'm so damn impressed by the concept and the beautiful decorations. The inspiration for this season's collection came from Rohald Dahls "Fantastic Mr Fox" and the English Countryside, so the place was turned into a beautiful, magical, fairytale-like world with birds, foxes, squirrels, big red mushrooms and a cute wooden hut. As for the clothes I'd describe them as "big city appropriate, countryside cute".
The last couple of years I'm getting more and more impressed by collections that are wearable with interesting twists even if there's nothing innovative or groundbreaking about them and Mulberry was all about that. I couldn't get my eyes off the pleated dresses, the soft knitwear, the coats and wool jackets, the long cosy scarves and the new updated versions of the bags. I mean, honestly, there was not even one single thing I wouldn't buy, if I could afford it.
The collection contains many key investment pieces (apart from the bags) that were highlighted thanks to the smart and up to date styling. Classic country-inspired outerwear paired with delicate floor skimming dresses, florals mixed with a deep green knitted long vest and a matching scarf or the chic simplicity of a shirt dress paired with a same-colour mini chain bag are just perfect ideas to make one's everyday style a little bit more interesting, don't you think?

I haven't packed my suitcase yet but in a few hours from now I'll be flying to London. That being said, I don't know if there will be any posting the next couple of days but I hope I am going to come back with something good!

Nitro & Nokia Love Project Party

Margarita, Lopi and me last night. (Yes we all hate Lopi for being so damn tall).
I guess it's the first time that you see me in my maxi asos dress. I am actually thinking of doing the maxi thing more often from now on. It's so comfy and it's actually easier than I thought to dress it down.

Kenneth Jay Lane Earrings

This post has been on my drafts for ages now, I can't believe I forgot it. Anyway, here are the Kenneth Jay Lane earrings I purchased some time ago. You can see the turquise version above whereas I'm wearing the orange-coral one. Apart from the fact that I believe that they're gorgeous (well, you wouldn't expect anything else, would you?) they are very easy-to-wear as well. The fact that they're clip-ons and really lightweight actually solves all problems related to statement earrings. You can find them at net-a-porter and they cost a little bit less than 97€.

Fabrica For Benetton

You know FABRICA, Benetton's creative workshop right? Here are three new groups of products from the SS collection. I received the polka dotted shopping bag a few days ago and I can say I'm very happy with it. Cotton canvas totes always come in handy and this one in particular is very practical since you can fold it and make it smaller in a second. I also think I'm going to try the ballet flats as well, they are so cute.

Toi&Moi SS Lookbook

Here are 2 shots from Toi&Moi's SS lookbook. Now tell me, am I the only one who's in LOVE with those dresses? Plus, is it me or this is one of their best lookbooks ever?  I love the fact that it's commercial (all campaigns should be commercial after all) and  at the same time there's something really artistic about it (how cool are those big letters, anyway?)

You can find the first arrivals here

Burberry Eye-Candy

I love those videos by Burberry. The concept is very fresh, the styling is edgy and up-to-date and the video lasts as much as it should in order for the viewer to not get bored. As for the bags, I think that my "to-buy" list  just grew a little bit bigger. I so want the big bag that's seen in both videos. I have to admit that I'm not a big fan when it comes to Burberry's nova check (although I own an alice band and a hat that scream "Burberry") but these are quite chic, I think.

My B T-Shirt

I promised I'd share with you the making-of my customized t-shirt by street artist B so here it is. Needless to say I asked for a girl with a bob. And high heels.
Thank you, B!

Luisa Super Sale Party

MasterCard and boutique Luisa held the most amazing shopping party yesterday. Designer clothes up to 80% off, yummy cupcakes and wonderful people were just some of the reasons why I had such a great time. I didn't get anything (yes, I don't know how that happened) but everybody else were shopping like crazy (and looked SO happy!). What's more, street artist B was there and made customized t-shirts for all of us (the making of is coming up next).

Mulberry - Love Blossoms

Valentine's day is just a week away, so I thought  that it was the perfect time to share with you all the details about Mulberry's "Love Blossoms" project. Mulberry, teamed up with leading digital artist Daniel Brown* to create a very special piece of digital art. Yeap, it's this flower that I'm talking about. As you can see, it looks like it's hand painted but truth is that it looks like that thanks to the artist's innovative skills. But there's more than that. Each flower comes to life and grows uniquely choosing its organic shape as it'd do in nature, thanks to generating programming and its advanced design. Impressive, don't you think?
So how does the whole thing work? If you 're interested you go to Mulberry's site, you choose the pattern that you like (you get 2 additional prints if you log in with your facebook or twitter account) and send the flower seed to your Valentine (Ok, I admit it! I'm definately sending one to myself). The recipient will get an e-mail on February 14th with a link to see their unique flower grow and flower. Cute, right?
Also, since we 're talking about Mulberry I suggest that you take a look at their Valentine's day gifts category.  You can watch them for hours, dreaming of the ones that you'd like to be given OR leave the page open so that your boyfriend will (accidentally) bum into it. I'm just sayin'!

Miu Miu SS Campaign

Here are some shots from the new Miu Miu Campaign. The first thing I noticed when I saw it is the effect with the mirrors, which is preety cool and makes you take a closer look at the ad. Plus it gives you the opportunity to see the items from more than one angle, which is preety unusual for an ad. Second thing I noticed: the shoes. Totally love them, the epitome of "statement". And then there's this cerulean blue outfit with the skinny belt and the persian green bag that's so out of this world. As for the third one I don't think that words are enough to describe it. "Loud" pieces, prints and striking details mixed together to deliver such a harmonic result. Love it, love it, love it!

Also, Miu Miu recently released their "Powder Room" video, directed by Zoe Cassavetes. You can watch it over at Alecca Rox's if you haven't already.

Kiehl's Greece & Ninelives

Well, hello there! Sorry for being m.i.a the last couple of days, but you see I had to go on a last-minute emergency trip. Anyway, I'm home now and I really need to put my brain back into my head and get back to the regular posting.
Until I manage to do so, there's something definately worth sharing. My friends over at Kiehl's informed me about this very special action they are taking to contribute to the non-profit organization "Ninelives" that helps more than 200 stray cats in Athens. For every "like" at the new "Kiehls in Greece" Facebook page until the 14th of February, Kiehl's will donate 0.50€ to the organization in order to financially support the sterilization of  the stray cats who live in Athens. It's a very important cause, so please take  a second to "like the page".
